Landowners and developers get excited about what is planned above the ground, but at GRM we get excited about what lies below!
Retaining walls are often needed as a result of slope instability or where proposed development gradients need to be managed as a result of drainage requirements or site topography.
GRM’s geotechnical experts can work with our in-house structural team and structural engineers in the design of gravity and cantilever retaining walls. These are carried out using specialist software and in accordance with Eurocode 7 or BS8002:2015 to ensure the most cost-effective solution is derived. GRM’s retaining wall designs also include a global stability check to ensure a robust and safe solution.
GRM also has experience of advising and preparing retaining wall schemes appropriate for Local Authority sign-off and which need an Approval in Principle (AIP) submission.
