Landowners and developers get excited about what is planned above the ground, but at GRM we get excited about what lies below!
Retaining Wall Design
Retaining walls are often needed as a result of slope instability or where proposed development gradients need to be managed as a result of drainage requirements or site topography.
GRM’s geotechnical experts can work with our in-house structural team and structural engineers in the design of gravity and cantilever retaining walls. These are carried out using specialist software and in accordance with Eurocode 7 or BS8002:2015 to ensure the most cost effective solution is derived. GRM’s retaining wall designs also include a global stability check to ensure a robust and safe solution.
GRM also has experience of advising and preparing retaining wall schemes appropriate for Local Authority sign-off and which need an Approval in Principle (AIP) submission.
