Soakaway Testing

Climate change and extreme weather is having an increasing impact on development projects and drainage systems are a critical component.

Our engineers routinely carry out permeability and soakaway testing in accordance with current guidance (such as BRE 365, BS5930:2016+A1:2020, CIRIA C753 – The SUDS Manual (2015) and Building Regulations Part H). The data is then incorporated into the overall drainage strategy and design by the drainage engineer.

The use of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) for surface water drainage is a critical part which all developers need to understand and mitigate.

We can assess the potential for SUDS to be suitable at the Phase I Desk Study stage or can undertake permeability/soakaway testing at the Phase II Site Investigation stage.
