At GRM, we believe that developing future talent is just as important as delivering exceptional solutions for our clients. That’s why we were delighted to welcome two A-level students from a local school for a week of work experience, giving them the opportunity to explore the world of business and gain a valuable insight into life in a professional workplace.
Throughout the week, the students spent time with different departments across the business, learning about the diverse range of services GRM provides. From understanding how projects are managed to seeing first-hand how our teams collaborate, they gained practical experience.
Our colleagues were proud to share their knowledge, answer questions, and provide hands-on guidance, helping the students build confidence while discovering where their own interests and ambitions could lead them.
Receiving feedback like this reminds us why these opportunities matter:
“I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for giving me the opportunity of having work experience. It has been so insightful on where my passions can take me and such valuable skills gained from working here with you all. I’d like to especially thank Paige and Nicki for providing me the ability of doing work experience here, as well as everyone else for supporting me with training and my understanding of GRM and its different sectors, as well as all being a welcoming face for me here. I truly thank you all as this company is a lovely place, and wish you all the best.”
Knowing we’ve helped someone discover more about their future while giving them practical skills and confidence is incredibly rewarding.
A big thank you to Paige, Nicki, and everyone across GRM who took the time to mentor, answer questions, and make the students feel so welcome. It really is a team effort, and we’re proud of the supportive culture we’ve built.
At GRM Development Solutions, we are committed to supporting the next generation by opening doors to real-world learning opportunities. We look forward to continuing to help more young people develop the confidence, skills, and experience they need as they begin their careers. You never know – today’s work experience student could be tomorrow’s newest team member!
We’d be interested to hear people’s stories of their own work experience – did you do something relevant to the job you do today, or maybe you had an entirely different career aspiration when you were in school?
