We are sometimes reluctant to shout about the wide range of support services that GRM supplies to landowners and developers, and so every now and again it is good practice to take stock of everything that is happening over the course of a single week. And this is such a week, with a vast and diverse range of activities across the country and at our headquarters too.
Out on site we have GRM Teams working on:
- Earthworks supervision and validation visits to sites in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire (the two pictures below are from this site, the first showing Plate Load Testing and the second showing Nuclear Density Testing).
- Site investigation in Hertfordshire to refine foundation and drainage design.
- Gas and groundwater level monitoring at a several sites in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Norfolk.
- Infiltration testing for soakaway design in Leicestershire.
- Earthworks supervision and materials management at a site in Blackpool.
- Foundation inspections at several Nottinghamshire sites.
- Capping validations in Hertfordshire and Manchester.
- Settlement monitoring in Manchester.
Meanwhile, back at our head office the GRM Design Team are working on:
- Pile & ground beam designs for a housing development in Redditch.
- Foundation designs for the next phase of developments in Leicestershire and Staffordshire.
- Conditional structural surveys of spiral emergency escape staircases at the offices of two major housing developers.
- Foundation designs for brick screen walls and a timber noise fence in Peterborough.
- A retaining wall AIP, now at construction compliance stage in Northamptonshire.
- Foundation designs for a self-build garden room & lambing shed in Essex.
- Foundation proposals for a bat barn on a new housing development in Berkshire.
All in a week’s work for our amazing GRM Team of professionals! Hats off to all of them (probably best for those working on site keep their hard hats on!).
