GRM have proudly supported our local Burton Rugby Club for nearly five years now. Back in 2020 we provided ground investigation and drainage work for their relocation to a new ground and sporting community hub at Battlestead Croft in Tatenhill, a complex that we can see from our office windows!
Our support has continued through ongoing sponsorship of the club and regular attendance at games. Some of the GRM staff have children involved in the youth system at the rugby club too, including Laura Hill, one of our Senior CAD Technicians, who has two daughters that play for the club.
We shared a news story about Sky back in 2022 (GRM Continues Community Support) and now it is the turn of younger daughter Ivy to grab some of the limelight!
Ivy was recently selected to play on the main pitch for a U14 Girls cup game on Remembrance Sunday. They drew with Lichfield 5-5 in a tough game, with Ivy selected as Coaches Player of the Match. Congratulations Ivy and an understandably proud Laura, who took the picture below as the teams lined-up before the game to observe two minutes silence.
