GRM Continues Community Support

We are proud of our Burton upon Trent connection, both in terms of our head office location and also our involvement with the local community.

GRM was originally based on the South Derbyshire side of the river Trent, but we moved to our current Laurus House base in East Staffordshire in 2008. It has served us well as the business and team have grown considerably over the past 14 years.

Many of the team live in and around Burton too, and hence we take pride in supporting local community organisations. One such example is Burton Rugby Club, which recently relocated to their new Battlestead Croft ground in Tatenhill (which we can quite literally see from our office window!).

GRM helped with the initial ground investigation and drainage work for both the pitches and new clubhouse, and several of our staff either play or have children that play at the club. Laura Hill is a Senior CAD Technician at GRM, and her daughter Sky has been playing rugby at Burton for the past five years. She now plays for the Burton Ladies U16 Team and was recently scouted to play for the Staffordshire County team. Laura helps as a volunteer on training nights and match days too!

The pictures below show Sky (number 13) playing on the First Team pitch in a match against Stafford! Apparently, she has ambitions to represent her country and I doubt anybody would argue with her judging by the way she tackles! Good luck Sky!
