Last year we started a series of articles showcasing some of our team and their interests outside of the office. This included Liam Atkin-Press (Senior Field Technician), Laura Hill (Senior CAD Technician), Russell Hurcombe (Business Development Manager), and Paige Colling (Senior Engineering Geologist).
All four directly support clients on a wide range of land development projects, however, the overall success of GRM is only possible because of our team of back-office professionals. One of these is Jack Croudace, our Business Technology Administrator, who has been with GRM for five years.
Jack became interested in IT at school, taking Computer Science as one of his GCSE options. Unfortunately the subject wasn’t offered at A-level so he decided to look for a role within IT and ‘learn on the job’. After several placements at other companies, Jack joined GRM in 2021 in a fulltime role within our IT team. Jack has continued to grow and develop over the past five years, and is now the first line for IT support, data manipulation and software development.
Outside of work, Jack’s hobbies include football, playing video games and travelling. He plays football on a Saturday and Sunday for different teams, with GRM kindly sponsoring the kits for his Sunday league football team. When not playing or watching football, Jack plays video games with and against his childhood friends back home in Wales (which is a great way to keep in touch). He has also recently discovered a love of travelling. This year he has been to Krakow, Dublin and most recently Budapest for the second time! He has previously visited Portugal and Japan. Jack is currently planning which other European cities to visit next year, and also hopes to go back to Japan in 2028.
