Position 1 of 3

Principal Environmental Scientist
We are looking for an experienced Principal Environmental Scientist with a background in remediation, waste management, land assessment and UK building development consultancy that can head our environmental team. 

Location: Burton upon Trent
Salary/Rate: £40K+ (dependent on experience)

Key Attributes:
  • Experience (min. 8 years) in Brownfield site investigation, hydrogeology, remediation (soils and waters), waste and materials management, and fully capable of living up to our ethos of “No Problems, Only Solutions”.
  • Chartered, ideally with an BSc in an Earth Science and an MSc in Environmental Sciences.
  • An enterprising team player with good inter-personal skills and proactive character.
Role Outline:
  • Run the HQ environmental team at Burton HQ, and support a satellite office.
  • Managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare and manage financial budgets.
  • Liaise directly with developer clients (or their agents/consultants) to optimise solutions to their development challenges.
  • Manage validation and verification site visits for remediation and gas protection measures.
  • Writing and preparation of; interpretative Geoenvironmental reports and waste classification assessments to UK standards.
  • A thorough understanding of characterising ground conditions and providing recommendations covering remediation strategy (soils & groundwater), method statements and completion reports.
  • Technical support and mentoring to junior and senior staff.
  • Reviewing technical reports by others to provide summarised budgetary guidance for developers.
  • A full UK driver's licence is required for travelling.
  • CSCS card would be advantageous.

Position 2 of 3

Senior/Principal GeoEnvironmental Engineer
As part of our planned growth strategy, we are looking for an experienced Senior or Principal GeoEnvironmental Engineer with a background in land assessment and UK building development consultancy that can head our new office. 

Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary/Rate: £40K+ (dependent on experience)

Key Attributes:
  • Experience (min. 8 years) in a ground investigation and UK building environment and fully capable of living up to our ethos of “No Problems, Only Solutions”.
  • Chartered, ideally with an BSc in Geology and an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
  • An enterprising team player with good inter-personal skills and proactive character.

Role Outline:
  • Run the office in close liaison with the Burton HQ.
  • Managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare and manage financial budgets.
  • Undertake some fieldwork but mostly supervise fieldwork by others.
  • Conduct validation and verification site visits for foundations, remediation and gas protection measures.
  • Writing and preparation of; interpretative Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental reports and waste classification assessments to UK standards.
  • A thorough understanding of characterising ground conditions and providing recommendations covering foundation design, ground improvements, earthworks, retaining wall, mining and slope stability assessments.
  • Technical support and mentoring to junior and senior staff.
  • Reviewing technical reports by others to provide summarised budgetary guidance for developers.
  • A full UK driver's licence is required for travelling.
  • CSCS card would be advantageous.

Position 3 of 3

Principal Geo-Environmental or Geotechnical Engineer
As part of our planned growth strategy, we are looking for an experienced Principal GeoEnvironmental Engineer with a background in land assessment and UK building development consultancy that can head a team of technical staff.

Location: Burton upon Trent
Salary/Rate: £40K+ (dependent on experience)

Key Attributes:
Experience (min. 8 years) in a ground investigation and UK building environment and fully capable of living up to our ethos of “No Problems, Only Solutions”.
Chartered, ideally with an BSc in Geology and an MSc in Geotechnical or Foundation Engineering.
An enterprising team player with good inter-personal skills and proactive character.

Role Outline:
