It is something of a cliché in our industry to say that no two jobs are ever the same. But it really is true, and one of the reasons why we enjoy supporting developers and landowners on such a wide and diverse range of projects.
This is very much the case currently for both our office-based teams and our field-based geologists, engineers and inspectors who are spread far and wide across the country. Current ongoing projects include:
- Site investigations in Staffordshire, Sussex, and three separate projects across Leicestershire.
- Gas and groundwater level monitoring at various sites in Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Worcestershire, Cambridgeshire, the West Midlands, Flintshire and Cheshire.
- Longer term monitoring of water levels at a site in Oxfordshire.
- Capping validations in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire and Worcestershire.
- Foundation inspections in Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
- Back in our Burton head office the teams are working on a wide variety of projects including Earthworks Specifications, Remedial Strategies, Phase I and Phase II Site Appraisals, Coal Mining Risk Assessments and working platform designs.
- We are also supporting sites with waste classification, and materials re-use including Material Management Plans, not to mention preparing foundation design key plans and schedules.
And there is no let-up either, with plenty of new client instructions booked in for the coming weeks including site investigations for proposed residential and commercial developments in Greater Manchester, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.
So plenty of new dots to add to our every growing map of project locations across the UK!
