After supporting #WearItPinkDay for the past few years we thought we would try a fancy dress day instead to help fight breast cancer!

On Friday the 23rd of October GRM took part in the #WearItPinkDay by having a fancy dress day with a sausage and mash night. As you can see, many of our employees took part and as a way of appreciation, we gave a prize to the best dressed. Well done to our Smurfette Laura, showing off her creativity from the CAD department.

Overall GRM raised just over £250 towards the charity!

Every year,   wear it pink raises around £2 million during   Breast Cancer Awareness Month, by asking people to wear something pink and donate whatever they can. Since the very first wear it a pink event in 2002, They have raised over £27 million thanks to the generosity of thousands of people taking part in approximately 7,093 schools, 39,964 workplaces and 8,256 homes and social venues.

They use the money raised to fund world-class research, by the brightest scientific minds, across the UK and Ireland.  They actively encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing and help our scientists and clinicians kick-start innovation. Together, they’re working to discover how to prevent breast cancer, how to detect it earlier and how to treat it effectively at every stage so we can stop the disease taking lives.
