Services

GRM provide ground investigations and remediation in conjunction with structural engineering and foundation consultancy.

Our teams work closely together, everyone knows their own area of expertise, and we put a great emphasis on communication. You can rely on GRM to get the job done quickly, effectively, and cost efficiently.

Our aim

To provide a service that is prompt, reliable, practical, and understandable.

Prompt - GRM understand that in a development scenario, time is money. We'll carry out the investigation, draw up reports and recommendations, and help you to proceed with the solutions as quickly as possible, without compromising accuracy. For above ground activities our engineers will work closely with site managers, architects, construction crews, and other third parties to ensure a smoothly run project.

Reliable - with our experience, a solid reputation, and loyal client base that includes many household names, you can rely on GRM to give an accurate ground risk assessment, realistic advice, and practical engineering solutions.

Practical - GRM aim to reduce your costs and help you to proceed with your development quickly. We provide honest reports and realistic, cost effective solutions. We also help you to obtain validation from the Environment Agency, planning departments, NHBC and other regulatory bodies.

Understandable - we communicate directly with our clients. There are no third parties or jargon filled reports, just clear, precise and understandable information enabling you to accurately predict costs and create realistic deadlines. We'll look at your site and give our recommendations straight to you. We'll work directly with you to provide solutions to problems encountered.

Our risk management approach.

GRM identifies development risks, assesses their potential impact on client expectations, designs, discusses and advises on mitigation options, obtains regulatory approval and verifies that risks have been dealt with. We will not over-investigate a site; whilst more information can usually allow reductions in financial risk, eventually these risks can be transferred from the client to others such as contractors or insurers.

We can often demonstrate that a particular factor is not really a hazard to the proposed development, so for the client, a small investment can return many times its value in terms of cost savings.
