Dr Bill Peacock is GRM's Operations and HR Director. Bill graduated from the University of Leicester in 1982 with an Honours Degree in Geology, going on to complete an MSc in Advanced Engineering Geology at the University of Durham in 1983. Following several years in site investigation and ground engineering, Bill undertook a PhD in Site Investigation Procedures and Risk Analysis at UMIST in 1990. He has many years of practical experience in the environmental and geotechnical engineering fields. He is a Chartered Geologist and helped found GRM along with Chris Jerram, in 1990.
In between working and taxiing his teenage son's from one sports event to another, Bill enjoys trying to keep up with the younger GRM staff on the badminton and squash courts.
Chris Jerram is GRM's Finance Director. Chris graduated from the University of Leeds in 1976 with a BSc (Hons) in Mining and Geology, having many years of experience in site investigations, ground improvement and geotechnical engineering fields. Chris has extensive experience of the investigation and treatment of derelict land. He has acquired project management and organisational skills from his time as Contracts Manager with large ground improvement contractors. Chris, alongside Bill Peacock, is also a Chartered Geologist and helped form GRM in 1990.
Chris regularly likes to chivvy the troops. Easily the joker of the three Directors, Chris has more physical and verbal energy than the rest of mankind put together.
Richard joined GRM in the early part of 1996, becoming GRM Director of Sales and Marketing in 1997. Richard is an engineer with considerable structural investigation, repair, design and engineering experience, both in the public and private sectors. He also has extensive knowledge of foundation design. He combines his role of engineer with the company's business development. Richard has earned a solid reputation for turning problems into solutions.
Richard is the traditionalist of the Directors, enjoying hill walking and pushing around little men in his spare time! (that's war gaming to you and I). Richard is a member of the Derby War Games Society and is (twice) ex National Champion.
